Jean Allen is ‘Capable’ in capital letters. A single mom, she could the run the world blindfolded. Fourteen years ago when she was new to McCall, and employed at McCall-Donnelly Elementary School, a student observed that "Jean went from working lunch duty to running the school.” Only the location of her office has changed.
Jean manages the daily operational side of McCall Real Estate with tremendous enthusiasm and energy. She hires and supervises the support staff, has full responsibility for the paperwork on every real estate transaction, orders supplies, keeps the office machines maintained, and cuts the commission checks. It’s even Jean’s job to be sure the office is clean and the sidewalk is swept.
Prior to taking over commanding the McCall Real Estate ship, Jean worked for the City of McCall as deputy city clerk, assistant to the city manager, and director of utility billing.
If all that experience led to where she is now, McCall Real Estate agents are grateful. Theirs is the job of selling. Hers is to make sure every transaction has all the i’s dotted, the t’s crossed, and the tools at hand for a busy office of agents.
Jean’s a worker. If she has a sport, it’s the camaraderie of belonging to the MRE team. She loves the fast pace of her job and thinks it’s “wonderful to work for such a great group of agents.” And the real estate agents think that they’re lucky to have Jean in the ‘engine room.’
The mutual respect and enjoyment is part of the pleasure of doing business at McCall Real Estate. There are good vibes and positive energy; a team that is rowing in the same direction. That’s Jean’s job.
